Some 60 citizens of the municipality of Caska took part in the second forum session on Thursday, June 12, at the Todor Janev elementary school, as part of the Community Forums Programme.
The session, which was also attended by the head of the national democratic governance programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Ibrahim Mehmeti, as well as a representative of the local authorities, Goranco Ignov, pinpointed several groups of solutions to the problems identified as priority ones by the citizens of the municipality.
They include: refurbishing the mountaineering house Ceples; reconstruction of streets in villages; construction of a substation and introduction of street lighting; sports facilities – construction of a playground and an entertainment park; construction of a landfill,; and water and sewage. The offered solutions resulted in four project ideas, for which four workgroups were established – Streets and Roads, Water and Sewage, Sports and Recreation, and Mountaineering House Ceples
At the session, the second one of a total of seven in the forum process in the municipality of Caska, representatives of the two already formed workgroups – Redesign and construction of public facilities and Redesign and construction of public spaces – presented the problems identified in the meetings between the forum sessions. Furthermore, the representative of the municipal administration, Goranco Ignov, spoke about the contents of the annual programme of the municipality of Caska regarding the redesign of development land.
At the session, the Forum adopted four recommendations proposed by four citizens which were accepted by the participants, as well as two groups of solutions which will also be defined as recommendations to the municipality.
The recommendations include reconstruction of the regional road Teovo Sogle-Bogomila; addressing power supply problems; construction of a substation in Vranovski Anovi in the village of Vranovci; addressing street lighting problems on Todor Janev Street in the settlement of Caska; as well as construction of landfills.
The total budget for the municipality of Caska within the Community Forums Programme amounts to MKD 4 million, of which MKD 1 million are a contribution from the municipality, while MKD 3 million are a donation from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
