Some 100 citizens took part in the Fifth forum session in the Community Forums Programme, which happened on October 24 at the Culture House in Debar.
The session was characterized by strong support for the offered project proposals in the field of education and infrastructure in the municipality.
The presented project proposals in the field of education included: an Entertainment Park; a Test Track for practicing driving; establishment of a Youth Education and Culture Center; and Education of Young Mountaineers; there were some remarks/recommendations, but overall, the proposals were accepted. The presentation of project proposals in the field of infrastructure went along similar lines and included the following: Redesigning of the courtyard of the Breshija kidergarten; Repairs on the facade of the Bratstvo-Edinstvo elementary school; Purchasing of books for the said school; Reconstruction of the heating system in the Sad Najdeni elementary school and the High-school building. At the session, almost all of the nine working groups once again made their contribution in terms of recommendations about the overall presentation of the projects. Two session participants, Semie Balanca and Goce Lubinovski, said that they believed that in the final session that would choose what projects to finance the participants would pick those projects which citizens needed the most. They said that the offered project proposals represented real needs, but that one had to be realistic and know that there were not enough funds for all proposed projects. Xheladin Imerovski, member of the Debar municipal council, said that it was good that the number of project proposals was higher that the number of projects that would receive funding, because they would be able to apply for other funding. |
