Presentation of eight project proposals in Berovo

The Community Forums Programme continued in Berovo, with the sixth forum session which took part on June 1 at the elementary school Dedo Ilo Maleshevski.  Representatives of the working groups presented eight project proposals identified by the citizens of Berovo as priority issues to be addressed.  The project proposal Clean Environment presented ideas to improve communal infrastructure in three locations, as well as explained the legal procedure for expropriation.  The Sports for All project went a step back in the forum process, because of new information on additional funding obtained. The Forum decided to keep the project in its current state until the next session, when it would be reviewed by the working group.  Other presentations focused on project proposals related to sewage, Café at the Square, and clean drinking water, with working groups’ representatives presenting the objectives, activities, and draft budgets.  The Promenade and Recreation for All project was also approved by the Forum, while the representative of the municipal administration stated there was no legal and institutional obstacles to implement the project.  The same happened with the project proposal Culture and Tradition, while for the project proposal European Carnival the discussion focused on the need to obtain documents, certificates of title, and to secure funding.  In addition to Berovo, in this stage the Community Forums Programme is being implemented in seven other municipalities – Sveti Nikole, Kocani, Novo Selo, Bitola, Resen, Saraj, and Dolneni.
