At the seventh forum session, which took place on July 10 at the “Elpida Karamandi” elementary school, as part of the Community Forums Programme, the citizens of Bitola chose four projects.
“Tumbe Kafe as a cultural and historic landmark and opportunity”, “Sports complex in the school yard in the village Kisava”, “Tumbe Kafe – basic infrastructure”, and “Tumbe Kafe as a sports and recreation complex” are the projects identified as priority ones by the citizens of Bitola, the implementation of which would help improve their everyday lives.
The total budgets for the projects are as follows: MKD 3,175,640 for Tumbe-Kafe as a cultural and historic landmark; MKD 964,273 for the sports complex in Kisava; MKD 1,193,486 for the basic infrastructure of Tumbe Kafe; and MKD 3,276,280 for the sports complex in Tumbe Kafe.
A total of 51 citizens, organized in working tables, voted in favor of these projects which will be funded by MKD 6 million, of which MKD 2 million are the Municipality’s contribution, and MKD 4 million are a donation by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The fifth project proposal, “Improvement of public utilities in the settlement Dovlegik”, was not supported by Programme Board members, due to unresolved property issues for part of the location.
In addition to Bitola, this phase of the Programme includes Forums in Berovo, Sveti Nikole, Resen, Kocani, Novo Selo, Saraj, and Dolneni.
