“Securing clean drinking water for Novo Selo “ and “Construction of an open canal network in the villages Smolari, Drazevo, and Staro Konjarevo” are the two project which would be implemented within the Community Forum Programme in the municipality Novo Selo.
Approximately 80 citizens attended the seventh forum session, where they voted on the projects, which took place on June 24 at the restaurant Sonce in Borisovo.
The two projects covered the total fund of the Programme in Novo Selo – MKD 8 million. Of the total, MKD 5,446,424 will go for clean drinking water in the municipality, of which the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Municipality will provide MKD 4,919,364.
The budget of the second project amounts to MKD 3,536,396, of which the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Municipality will provide MKD 3,080,636.
The remaining funds will be provided by the project holders and partners.
The seventh Forum presented five project proposals developed by the citizens of Novo Selo and the local settlements, and the right to vote was reserved only for those residents who had attended at least four forum sessions in the past few months.
Voting was done per working tables, that is one working table carried one vote. The points were then summed up and the highest-ranking project was chosen.
In addition to Novo Selo, this phase of the Programme is implemented in seven other municipalities – Kocani, Berovo, Sveti Nikole, Resen, Bitola, Saraj, and Dolneni.
