The citizens of Resen vote in favor of improving the water supply |

Nearly 75 citizens of Resen took part in the seventh Forum session, which took place on July 7 at the Municipal Hall, in the presence of representatives from the local authorities, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and the Programme’s coordination body.
The participants in the seventh Forum, which had attended at least four forum sessions in the previous months, chose the project which would be implemented in the municipality – “Improving the water supply in Prespa”.
The project, developed by the citizens of Resen after identifying the priorities for improvement of their everyday lives, was chosen among three projects, including “Landscaping of the yard and establishing an environmental education and sports center EKO SPORT” and “Together for healthy and clean Prespa”.
The chosen project got 24 points, the second ranking project got 19 points, and the third ranking – 17 points. Voting was done per working tables, that is one working table carried one vote.
The total project budget amounts to MKD 9,017,291, of which the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Municipality provide MKD 8,000,000. The remaining funds are provided by the partners and project carriers.
The next forum session will be held after the implementation of the project in April/May next year, when there will also be a presentation of the specific results from the chosen priorities by the citizens of the municipality Resen.
