Infrastructure - topic of the Forum in Makedonski Brod

The first forum session in the third round of the Second phase of the Community Forums Programme took place on October 14 at the elementary school St. Kliment Ohridski, in the presence of 75 residents of the municipality Makedonski Brod.  The forum participants chose the topic Infrastructure out of the two topics proposed by the Municipality, namely Infrastructure Development and Solid Waste Management.  The session also identified the Forum structure, by establishing eight working tables where participants will defend their interests. All working tables have equal rights and carry equal  "weight".  The Mayor of the municipality Makedonski Brod, Milosim Vojneski, who attended the session, expressed his pleasure at the opportunity given to residents to choose a project to be implemented for the good of all.  He underlined that, provided the opportunity arised, the municipality would donate additional funds for the projects selected by the residents, since they would be the ones to decide where their money would go.  The total budget of the Programme in the municipality Makedonski Brod amounts to MKD 4 million, of which MKD 1 million are a contribution by the Municipality, and MKD 3 million are a donation from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).  The next meeting with the citizens, that is the next session, is scheduled for November 11 at the elementary school St. Kliment Ohridski.
