Fourth Forum in Debar

The fourth forum session in Debar as part of the Community Forum Programme took place on 12 November at the “Penestija” restaurant.  At this session the budget forum disused the development programmes and projects in the budget of the municipality for 2010, as well as the recommendations and proposals of the participants on the development programs of the budget.  The session consisted of presentation of capital projects and development programmes of the municipality, presented one programme at a time by a representative of the finance sector of the municipal administration.  Some of the priorities that were pointed pit by the citizens of Debar at the working tables was the installment of electronic water gauges, construction of an irrigation system, the boulevard “Ilirija”, the town promenade, the road to the village Bomov etc.  The participants formed a working group that will prepare of a report on the proposals and recommendations given by the citizens and submit it to the municipal budget commission which will take the report into consideration during the budget debate for the next year.  The total budget for this phase of the Programme for the municipality Debar amounts to eight million denars. The municipality participates with two million denars, while six millions are donated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).  The budget forum took place in Berovo along with two other municipalities – Berovo and Strumica, implying discussion and proposals for the allocation of budgetary assets in the municipality.  The three municipalities are part of the third cycle from the second phase of the Programme, which included nine more municipalities Mogila-Novaci, Radovis-Konce, Bogovinje, Krusevo, Gostivar, Aerodrom and Makedonski Brod.
