Session six in Makedonski Brod

The sixth session as part of the Community Forums Programme that was held in the primary school “Kliment Ohridski” on 17 March was attended by 70 citizens from the municipality Makedonski Brod. The five project proposals which the citizens of Makedonski Brod set as priorities during the previous sessions were presented at this session along with their specified budgets.  The citizens of the municipality did not approve the project proposal for construction of the village house in the village Zrkle due to the unresolved property-rights affairs, while the remaining fours will be subject to vote at the next, seventh session. The project proposal regarding the construction of a hunting lodge in the village Tazevo costs 839.583 MKD. The construction of a functional hunting lodge has the objective of developing several types of tourism – alternative, hunting, village and mountain tourism. “Arranging the central city area” foresees horticultural arrangement of the boulevard with planter boxes, flowers, green areas and avenue of trees, marked pedestrian walkways, pedestrian walkway and construction of a decorative water fountain, benches, trash bins, podium and lighting.  The total proposal budget for this project is 6.341.678 MKD. The project carrier and the partners participate with 2.341.678 MKD. The third project proposal titles “Improving the sports and recreational infrastructure and increasing the traffic safety in Makedonski Brod” refers to construction of multifunctional sports grounds and parking area with 30 lots.   The total proposal budget for this project is 3.863.074 MKD. The project carrier and the partners participate with 471.570 MKD. The end results of the project titled “Makedonski Brod – environmentally clean and healthy living environment” refers to the removal of 11 illegal landfills, deposit 53 tons of garbage, installing signs for environment protection, cleaning the riverbed of the river Treska and the road safety strips. The total proposal budget for this project is 384.216 MKD. The project carrier and the partners participate with 52.000 MKD. The Budget for the Programme in the municipality Makedonski Brod amounts to four million MKD. The municipality participates with one million MKD and the Swiss Agency for Development and Reconstruction (SDC) donates three millions MKD.
