The citizens of Makedonski Brod decided to implement the project on arrangement of the city centre

The forum in Makedonski Brod that was part of the Community Forums Programme was held for the seventh time in the sports hall of the primary school “Sv. Kliment Ohridski” on 7 April, and was attended by 75 citizens of the municipality.  Out of the four project-proposals that were specified as priorities for the improvement of their everyday life, the citizens eventually selected one – “Arrangement of the central city area in Makedonski Brod”.  The total budget of this project is 5.799.383,64 MKD. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the municipality provided four millions MKD, while the rest of the funds were provided by the carrier of the project and the partners.   The implementation of the project foresees activities such as preparation of the documentation necessary for the realization.   The seventh forum session indicated the conclusion of the Forum process that was initiated by detecting the municipal problems within the frames of the selected topic, analysis of the problems, establishing work groups, offering solutions, preparation of project proposals and final projects.  In this phase, in addition to the municipality Makedonski Brod, the Community forums programme was implemented in the municipalities Aerodrom, Berovo, Radovis – Konce, Krusevo, Strumica, Debar, Mogila – Novaci, Gostivar and Bogovinje.
