After the agreed meetings and the information session, the municipality
of Karbinci held the Zero session of the Community Forum Programme on
Thursday. The session was held in the gym of Straso Pindzur primary
school, and the participants were welcomed by Ibrahim Mehmeti, National
Programme Officer, Dimce Mitrevski, MCIC Development Department manager
and coordinator of the Community Forums Programme in Karbinci, as well
as the mayor of Karbinci, Boris Gavrilov.
There were around 80 representatives of different stakeholders from all settlements in the municipality, who decided which one of the three topics – communal infrastructure, urban development and environment – will be their priority in the process of project implementation. A representative of the local-self government, secretary Delco Stoilov, presented the current situation in the Karbinci municipality on all three topics, so that the forum participants will have more detailed information in making the decision. Most of the participants voted for the urban development, the second interest was communal infrastructure, and there was no interest for the environment. After the presentation of a documentary film on the Community Forum Programme implementation in the previous three municipalities, participants decided which working group they will sit at during the following sessions. Most of them – almost half – picked the working groups on agriculture and livestock breeding while the rest opted for sports, education, health ...The citizens showed interest in how will they continue working on the programme, how to propose possible projects, whether new people can join working groups. The discussions and the questions posed to the project managers and the operative group introduced the problems that participants want to solve, which promises an important project for all municipal inhabitants, but also directions for future activities for the local self government. The next forum session will be held on 23 April. |
